We had a great meeting at Lee and Jane’s place last night. If you’ve not been out there to see the collection of beer, wines and mead that they’ve made and stockpiled over the years you really are missing out. It’s impressive and if you’re lucky they’ll share a little of the bounty!
Had a good turnout last night for the spring intra-club comp, with 10 beers going head to head across multiple categories; from German Pils, to a barley wine, to Gose, to IPA, to straight sour beers. It was a great comp, and the competition was tough. There was not a mediocre beet to be found on the table. Congratulations to Ryan for taking home the Buddha with his American Wild Ale on Cherries.
Just a reminder there will be a Big Brew this weekend at RahnerShine this weekend. Hope to see you there. If you know anyone that’s interested in learning to Brew this is a good chance to introduce them to the process.
Thanks once again to Lee and Jane for hosting, it’s always a a great time out there, and thanks for sharing the sours and meads!
